Lost River Vacations was born in 2018, with a public launch party and associated Kickstarter that raised close to $30,000. Jane Jonas and Shawn Harrington brought the community on their journey as they built and established their first tiny house, the Acorn, on 22 acres of wilderness in Mathias, West Virginia. They are now in the process of adding a third house.
Barefoot Haven
Barefoot Haven was born in 2026, a brand-new endeavor launched by Karen and Joe Putz in early March. They had nine bookings in the first week of launching. Barefoot Haven is located in the Finger Lakes, nestled in the woods on the shore of Conesus Lake, New York.
Jane Jonas
Jane Jonas is the co-owner of Lost River Vacations. She owns and runs Eyeth Studios, a website and business development company. Jane has has extensive experience in videography, photography, creative writing, journalism, project management, accessibility, web development, and graphic design. For fun, she enjoys puzzles of all kinds; crosswords and jigsaw puzzles and more!
Karen Putz
Karen Putz is known as "The Passion Mentor." She is the author of multiple books, including "Unwrapping Your Passion, Creating the Life You Truly Want." Karen runs Deaf Academy, an online personal growth space and she is a certified Mindvalley Life Coach and Manifestation coach. For fun, she water skis on her bare feet.
